By utilizing GPU pass through you can get all the benefits of running Windows in a VM, just with a little extra GPU power. I’m not talking about Proton (though it’s a great option and I’ll explain why) I’m talking about passing through a GPU to a Windows Virtual Machine. I could finally buy a sweet graphics card (relative to my frugalness) and join the PC Master race and play all the latest games, but that would mean I would have to uninstall my beloved Fedora, or even worse… dual-boot! Just at the last moment I found a way to keep my Linux system and be able to use Windows just for gaming, shutting it down when I was finished, and being able to use non-intrusive Fedora for all my other computer-y needs.
